Our projects run one semester (~12 weeks) or two semesters (~24 weeks), depending on the client’s needs. Each project is staffed with four to five consultants and a project lead, who manages all communications and project work. We staff our project in July for the fall semester, and December for the spring semester.

Graphite Digital built a new pipeline to dynamically inject racial biases into 2000 MedQA medical questions based on the given question’s context. The team analyzed 5 racial biases across 15+ LLMs and found statistically significant differences between control (unbiased) and bias-injected medical questions. Graphite’s benchmark is now public released and featured on the homepage of the vals.ai website, with Vals taking over for future maintenance of the benchmark to update it with new LLM releases.
