Graphite recruits new members across all five Claremont Colleges at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. First-years and second-years are strongly encouraged to apply.

Becoming a Graphite Member

Graphite is more than a pre-professional club; it is a collaborative, fun, and supportive community that has flourished over the past six years. As a Graphite member, you'll not only sharpen your consulting skills and prepare to work with innovative businesses but also thrive in a dynamic environment that fosters personal and professional growth.

Leadership

Leadership development is a key focus at Graphite. After two semesters, you'll have the chance to apply for a project lead role, where you'll manage client relationships and lead a team of up to five consultants. With continuous support from the Director of Client Relations, you'll gain hands-on experience in project management. Additionally, as you advance, you'll have the opportunity to apply for executive positions, playing a crucial role in the growth and success of Graphite.

Mentorship

Community is at the heart of the Graphite Group. To promote collaboration, we’ve established a buddy system where first-year students are paired with juniors. These connections are invaluable, providing mentorship and guidance as you transition into college life and your consulting career.

The Graphite Curriculum

Professional development is a vital part of Graphite. When you join Graphite, the Director of Recruiting and Professional Development, will guide you through in-depth workshops focused on strengthening both hard and soft skills, covering areas such as presentation making, Excel workshops, market sizing, pricing strategies, and more. Following your initial training, you'll have continuous access to resources for professional development and career advancement.
